How to customize the gift card?

After clicking on "Buy", you will be able to choose the type of gift card you wish to offer. You will then be able to add your name (or the name of a group offering the card), the name of the person receiving it and to write a short message. You can write absolutely anything you want in each section (but if it's something nice it's better). Keep in mind, however, that entering a correct name for the beneficiary will make it much easier for customer service to respond in case of issues.

How do you want to deliver the gift card?

We offer several options in order to offer the Ulysse travel gift card: the e-gift card format or "digital gift card". We will send the gift card to you by email or directly to the recipient on the desired day. By adding 5€ to your order, you can opt for a delivery per post. You will receive the printed gift card in your mailbox within three to five working days, or decide to have it delivered directly to the beneficiary in an amazing enveloppe. We will also notify you once the gift card has reached its destination. So sit back and relax, you will have complete control over your gift!

How long is the gift card valid?

The lucky recipient of the Ulysse travel gift card has 730 days (that's 2 years in total) to use it. The period of validity begins on the date of purchase of the card and equates to the period during which the booking(s) must be made: the date of departure on the trip may therefore be after the end of the card's validity.

How to buy an Ulysse gift card?

The Ulysse gift card is only available on our website www.ulysse.com and with our certified partners. Here is the procedure to buy a gift card on our website:

1. Click on "Gift card" at the top or bottom of our website.
2. Choose the type of gift card and the amount, add a personal note, the recipient's name and his contact details.
3. Fill in your personal details, your payment information, confirm your purchase et voila!

You will receive a confirmation email right away. Depending on the type of card chosen, the beneficiary will receive his card directly by email, per post, or you can print the gift card and hand it over personally.

How to use my gift card?

On ulysse.com, search for your flight, hotel or car rental using your dates and preferences. Choose the option that suits you and check its terms. At checkout, enter your gift card code in the designated field, then check the amount deducted. Pay any remaining balance using one of the available payment methods and wait for your booking confirmation.

Your card must be active, unexpired and have a balance. If your code is declined or the option doesn’t appear, contact our team before paying. Don’t expect a deduction to be applied after purchase.

Can I re-use my gift card?

Accepted Answer

Yes, as long as your card has a balance and hasn’t expired. For example, if you spend €200 from a €500 card, you’ll have €300 left to use for another Ulysse booking. Each purchase is separate, and the remaining balance keeps the card’s original expiry date.

What if my booking costs less than the balance on my gift card?

In this case, the remainder is kept on the gift card. The next time you want to travel, you will be able to reuse it. The expiry date does not change (2 years after the purchase date).

My booking costs more than the balance on my gift card. What should I do?

Accepted Answer

Your gift card covers the cost up to its available balance. You can pay the rest at checkout on Ulysse using one of the available payment methods. Check the amount applied and the remaining balance before confirming: the card doesn’t give you a discount on the booking price.

What can I buy with my Ulysse gift card?

Accepted Answer

You can use your gift card to book flights, hotels and car rentals offered on Ulysse, subject to availability and the terms of each offer. For flights, Ulysse offers more than 450 airlines, including Air France, Transavia, easyJet and Ryanair.

Your card gives you an amount to spend, not an all-inclusive package: each service must be booked separately. The card doesn’t guarantee a full night’s stay or a trip that’s fully paid for, whatever the price.

Can I use my gift card on another site?

No. You use your gift card code at checkout on Ulysse. It can’t be used as a payment method on an airline, hotel or car rental company’s website, or directly at a hotel reception desk or rental counter. Check your booking terms for any taxes, deposits or additional charges you may need to pay locally.

Choose the amount you want to give. The recipient can then choose a flight, hotel or car rental from the offers available on Ulysse and enter the card code at checkout.

The card can be used in one or more transactions, up to its balance and expiry date. Each service must be booked separately and has its own terms, including cancellation terms. It isn’t a flight and hotel package or an all-inclusive trip.

After you choose what type of gift card and the reason for the gift, you will be able to choose the amount. It starts at €20 and can go up to €5000. You can thus choose to offer a one-way to Cork or a roundtrip to Hawaii. Two not-so-different trips.

The card is valid for 730 days from the date of purchase and can be used to make bookings during that time. It must be active, unexpired and have a balance. You can use it in one or more transactions. If your booking costs more than the available balance, you’ll need to pay the difference online.

The gift card isn’t issued in a specific name and can’t be exchanged or refunded. Booking cancellation terms are separate from the card’s terms: check the terms of your chosen offer and contact our team to find out how any refund may be handled.
